What should I do if I break down on the motorway?

Move to the hard shoulder or an emergency area if you can, switch on your hazard lights, leave the vehicle by the left-hand (passenger) doors and wait behind the safety barrier, well away from traffic. If you are stopped in a live lane or feel in danger, call 999 first. Then call us on 07396 738541.
